Haven't Had the Boat out in a month and Gene had Saturday off so i swung by and picked him up and then we snagged Frank off his dock and went fishing. The wind kept us cool all day and we hammered the fish. Close to 200 sand bass and 5 big hybrid. Lost 4 at the boat. Everyone caught a big one. Gene and I kept 50 huge sandbass to eat. Saw Matt Cartwright at the Quack shack at lunch great talking to you. We caught fish every stop and the later the day thee more we caught. It was a great day on the lake . Ready to go again.

I had family in town all week. They left Friday. This was a day of recovery. Man did we recover some fish! And to think I had three flare and cut me off. You lost that one at the boat. I am going to tie that steel leader on today. It was just a great day. I am always happy when those trained fish show up! Until next time. Peace.

If you will notice on the table shot, we brought back 4 hybrids but we boated 5. We normally don’t keep fish, so I am used to taking pictures and releasing them. I tossed back 1 hybrid and Frank looks at me and says, I thought we were keeping fish 🤪🤪🤪. I couldn’t believe I tossed that 1 hybrid back.
We caught fish at every stop but some spots were harder to get them to bite than others and some of our regular stops we didn’t mark any fish at all. We did try some new lures that the lure wizard is making. All in all it was another great day to be on Tawakoni.
I would also like to post a big thank you to the restaurant at Duck Cove marina. For everyone that fished Tawakoni, this is a great, on the lake, place to eat lunch. Plenty of space to tie your boat up to and walk in for a great meal.
