My feet just kept getting more and more numb. Finally went to the Dr., she referred me to a neurologist. He shocked the chit out of my feet and legs. I went back a week later and he said you have neuropathy, soak your feet in cold water for 10 minutes, apply Vaseline on your feet and put on socks. That’s my treatment and he gave me some pills I don’t want to take. Anyone else deal with this and what do you do for it?

I have it, I’m diabetic, I just deal with it. It mainly bothers me laying in bed at night. When I go to sleep it’s not a problem

I have had neuropathy in both feet since I had back surgery in 2000. Woke up from the surgery with both feet tingling. It has only gotten worse till I saw another neurologist a year ago. He gave me gabapentin to take and it has stopped most of the the stabbing pains in my feet.

Coach: I would encourage you to research "Magnesium Oil" and how it relates to your condition.

I have a bunch of links on the subject, please feel free to pm me your email address and I will be happy
to send the relevant info to you.

cheers

Eliminate any neurotoxins (alcohol, tobacco, etc)
Make sure your blood sugars are under good control.
Daily exercise
Eat healthy (grilled fish, grilled vegetables, grilled chicken/turkey)
Some people start with lidocaine gel or capsaisin gel (both over the counter)

There are several FDA approved medications for neuropathic pain.

Not diabetic, 57 years old, have L-3, L-4 and L-5 bulging disc. Spinal canal stenosis in L-4 and L-5 which causes most of it the neurologist and neurosurgeon said. I’ve had those bulging disc problem since my late 20’s. I also read and take magnesium pills, 400 mgs a night. He also gave me the gabenpentin but I haven’t taken it, so it does work? And yes it’s worse at night and morning, doesn’t bother me all day. Dafanman I will pm you.

Gabapentin and CBD cream are as close to giving me tolerable relief as I’ve had in 15 years of neuropathy.

Well it sounds like I need to get the gabapentin filled and get me some CBD cream. I just hate taking pills for everything but if it works it looks like I need to take them.

Gabapentin can be a game changer, but it can have some side effects you should read up on, just to be aware.

I wish you well.

Ahhhh....I had L5 and S1 fused in 2018 as a fix for possible sciatica like issues. Maybe still the cause
