Hi all I’m not a bass guy but thought I would seek help in this channel since bass guys have the most electronics.
So my setup is 2 batteries on a perko switch. As I’ve hooked all the positive lines to the perko switch it’s causing my voltage to drop below 11-10 volts. What is the best way to wire the system below?
2x AGM on a perko switch where all my electronics go 12” garmin with livescope box direct thicker gauge going directly back to perko 12” Lowrance live on dash 9” Lowrance gen 3 in front bow with garmin unit Stereo don’t use Of course lights, livewell, bilge, hose pump, etc
When crappie or striper fishing I keep all graphs\livescope\livewell\light towards dark. I’ve been noticing my voltage is dropping below 11 volts. I have the biggest AMG battery and don’t have an issue with power drainage.
Please if anyone could help suggest or send links on the proper way to wire this.
I’ve heard ppl use like a positive battery terminal extender to distribute even voltage but how will that work on a perko switch.
Thanks!!

I’m guessing your trolling motor has separate dedicated batteries that only serve the trolling motor?

My suggestion and it’s $$$, is to buy a 100-125ah lithium battery just for your graphs. You’ll also need a charger approved for the lithium. You are pulling some pretty good amps with those 3 graphs running.

make sure backlight is off on Lowrance unit and put graph to sleep when not using it.

This is what I did on my old boat and rigging my newer one the same. My console 12 in unit is wired direct to cranking battery.
Both front units and Livescope are direct wired to a 12 volt 18ah lithium battery I have in the front rod box that is portable, I don’t run them more than 6 or so hours but never had an issue with power dropping below 13.2 volts.
If you want them to last maybe 12 hours or so you might get one with more amp hours but my 18ah works great for what I do. Your running an awful lot of stuff on a single battery that pulls a lot of amps.

Thx everyone. I was thinking that route of lithium battery or hacks of using your 18/20 volt power tool battery to power livescope box. Or I could wire my front graphs to the secondary battery in the back that would be an easy swap of wires. Or replace the secondary with a lithium. I never had to switch perko to secondary to start motor.
Great advice here

Do you know for sure your battery isn't draining to low voltage? If yes, then the voltage drop is occurring thru the wiring. Charging after every use? What size wire to each graph and is it straight from the perko switch?
