Lighten up Doug.....It was just a joke, the guide tournament.
You mentioned there was a list of guides on Fork kept at one time and that is what I was thinking when you asked your question.
Wouldn't it be better to have a list of current guides and their phone # instead of just having a total # of people still guiding out there?
That is the reason I asked why you just want the total #.
I did not mean to upset you. Why are you so concerned about improving the value of the question as it pertains to you? If you think there's a better question to be asked, start your own thread and ask it. Your reaction to this thread is making you look really weird. Really, so tell me, what value is it just knowing how many people are still guiding at Fork if you don't have the names or numbers of the ones that still are?? Why does that seem weird? Seems logical to me to have names and numbers. "You are a deeply philosophical and righteous man, potentially on the verge of myocardial infarction, if you seek to understand the value of all TFF questions and attempt to elevate those personally deemed superfluous." Read that in a fortune cookie once. Thought--"what in the ever-living..." at the time, but like an M. Night Shyamalan movie, it's all coming together in the end...

At the peak there were probably 200+ in later 1980’s at least claiming to be a guide.
