August 12th was the 30 year anniversary of Metallica's Black album. Overall still a top 5 for me. They are releasing a remastered version on Sept 10th. Any other Metallica fans here looking forward to this?

For $240 you can get the deluxe box set which has a lot of good stuff. I think I'll pass on that, but looking forward to the remaster of Black album. rock

Looking at getting this as my original set and several other of their CD's have been worn out.

They are one of my favorite bands from Jr High / High School / and on.

Just like GnR and Rage Against the Machine

Good album; but Ride The Lightening, Kill 'em All, and Master of Puppets in that order.
Then, tie between ....And Justice and Death Magnetic
then Black Album.

Hard to believe it has been 30 years.

I don't know if it's my favorite or not, but it's right there.

I saw Metallica back in 88' at the Texas jam, I had never heard of them before. ( I was there for Van Halen and Scorpions) Metallica made me a thrash metal fan as soon as I heard them I was a fan until the black album which I liked it but did not love. Black record was just a heavy metal/rock record.

Still, I listen to it fondly now as it brings back such good memories.

Went to the concert in 92 at reunion arena. I always thought the black album was when they started going downhill.

Judging by some of the comments, I might be the only one in here that enjoyed Load when it came out.

Well, it is better than St. Anger, Lulu, and reLoad.

I really like a lot of their music, but not all of it.
