We got 5 inches overnight in the Tyler area. We got 3-1/4" East of Longview overnight and this morning. We have got a little bit over 5" for the month and 45" for the year. Very green here too.

We were lucky when Fred came ashore and move up toward us. We got about 4 hours of rain and nothing hard and it move on out.
The wife went on her vacation to Panama City Beach, she got there just as Fred was coming ashore. She said it wasn't that bad. By that evening it was clear and not to windy. Yesterday she said the skies were deep blue and it was like nothing had happened.
Yea, we take one vacation a year that we go without the other. Mine was a fishing trip and lodging at Guntersville this year. She and her friend decided the beach was in store for them. I am not a big fan of the ocean, sand and beach. After two days it is lets go home. I did a few 6 month stints in Boaz trying to turn around a plant. I stayed in Guntersville at the Holiday Inn.. My boss decided we needed a new plant in Talledega right on 20 within sight of the speedway. Probably the most expensive mobile home plant ever built. If he wasn't chummy with the pres it would have never been built. When we merged with Champion the first thing the new owner did was shut it down. He hated that plant even years before the merger.
