We were lucky when Fred came ashore and move up toward us. We got about 4 hours of rain and nothing hard and it move on out.
The wife went on her vacation to Panama City Beach, she got there just as Fred was coming ashore. She said it wasn't that bad. By that evening it was clear and not to windy. Yesterday she said the skies were deep blue and it was like nothing had happened.

Yea, we take one vacation a year that we go without the other. Mine was a fishing trip and lodging at Guntersville this year. She and her friend decided the beach was in store for them. I am not a big fan of the ocean, sand and beach. After two days it is lets go home.

Strange how a couple hundred miles has so much difference in weather.

Tyler got another flood, as in literally a flood with people being rescued and major roads closed. Loop 323 was closed at Troup Highway, which is hard to imagine considering it's not even a low area. We had had 5-6 inches and it was still pouring.

I don't remember seeing everything this green in mid-August.

I saw on the radar yesterday that the area around O.H. Ivie was covered up with rain. Hopefully it did some noticeable good with the lake level.

We got heavy rain Monday, and real heavy rain yesterday. Some rain this morning and it looks like more coming. I’m good with it

It's pouring hard right now here. Water running down the street is almost top of the curb.

No, but 90% of my work is in Wise or Montague counties.

Pouring here, I'm on well and I think I will run sprinklers just to trigger the neighbors who have expensive city water. Nextdoor people get excited about that kind of thing
