FYI, J Stockard has their Hareline brand tying materials 15% off this weekend. Use the code that is posted on the front page of JS's website.

Hareline has a tying kit of just materials for about $100. With the discount, it looks like a good starter kit for those of you that have been thinking about starting to tie your own flies. The material selection looks pretty versatile. From the photos this appears to be a good selection of materials for a beginner.

There is also another version that includes a Griffin vise and tools for another $80. Griffin makes good stuff, so that's another option.

For everyone else, it's a good time to restock if you're like me and seem to use a lot Hareline's stuff.

I think the sale ends Tuesday, but I don't know for certain.
