Not impressed. I guess a couple years ago I discovered the wonders and amazing culinary experience of eating a Popeye’s chicken sandwich. My life has not been the same since. So anyway I am thinking I’ll try out these so called slacker imitations.

First try…The Burger Kings version. I love BK. Flame broiled will always beat the heck out of some over-a-hot grill cooked meat. But after ordering a spicy chicken sandwich…I felt much disappointment. I will admit I had lofty expectations considering I was comparing this to Popeyes, but not what I expected from a great establishment like Burger King. I ate it and it was ok. But I’ll let these pics explain it for themselves.

The spicy chicken sandwich from a year ago was great. The new one is terrible. Asked the manager why they don’t offer it anymore. He said he didn’t know and that they get a ton of complaints.

Yeah it's a staple down here. They have some place called Whatta a Burger or something like that. It's ok, but there are also many places in the same price range that are so much better.

I would have told him he needs to apply for a job at Popeye's.

Yes, I too am still a fan. A good ole Whooper beats the heck out of so many other simple burger offerings.

That sucks! I would move. But my advice...go to Popeye's, they are better anyway.

I still have yet to try the KFC one or the McDonalds one. I am open and willing to try them soon. But after BK's disappointment, I am not expecting much.

I like Wendy's and I don't think I have ever had a bad experience there. But they advertise...Never frozen meat. I don't know the volume of premade meat patties they must go through on a daily basis but I would assume it's a lot. And then to think this meat is sitting in trucks in the heat of summer, and has never been frozen? You know, I am ok with frozen meat.

If sits in boiling water. Waiting on you to order it…then it’s flipped onto a greasy grill for about 5 seconds.

It’s disgusting.

I knew there was some kind of questionable meaning or skewed advertising facts about this. I mean really, think about it. How can they ship tons of fresh meat to their stores daily? I would be more impressed if they just hung a fresh cow carcass each day in the kitchen and you get to see them cut your slice of meat as you order it.
