So you would just prefer us to abandon American Embassy personnel and U.S. citizens in Kabul rather than send in troops to get them out of the country? The Middle East is made up of people who will never be at peace. They have been fighting one another for over 2,000 years. We should just let them go at it and whoever wipes out the others just let them be. Nobody or no country is going to change their way of living…or dying in many cases.

Yeah, like no other country in the West has ever gone to war during the last 2000 years. How do you think those empires were created? Some Christian western countries came late in the game, but have been in wars on and off for a few hundred years and continue to wage war (regardless of the reason). The British retreated from Afghanistan, the Russians retreated from Afghanistan, and we are retreating from Afghanistan. Do you see a pattern here? Much as I hate the Taliban, they can only be beaten from within if at all.

I don't.Trump had 4 years to beat the Taliban. Couldn't have done it in 8 years either, even if the insurrectionists had succeeded. Too busy hiding his tax returns, playing golf, and cozying up with dictators. It takes a special kind of draft dodger to denigrate a true war hero.

I'd like to see us pick about 4-6 middle eastern counttries and quarrentine all muslims there including deporting all those from USA,......Muslims have far too many terrorists who truly believe it is ok to kill non muslims....
