With lockdown reinstated it might get rough again... And Califruitia is always on the cutting edge of being a nanny state... Dan That is certainly true!

I hope nothing happens....I have a big order I'm waiting to place; and as usual I am waiting on DJ's to get their jigs to them in 2 colors. I really just wish I could buy replacement skirts but they won't be in for months and I actually like Dobyn's football jigs and Outkast heavy flipping jigs but am very color specific. I should just place my order and wait; but I am also on the fence on which rods to get and can't make up my mind. By the time I do the whole world will have covid. It's just too much money to order from individual companies and TW has the stuff I want...so I need to make up my mind and just order.

Sounds like my wife trying to decide where she wants to eat then trying to decide what to order.

Ya right? I know....it's bad. I'm very brand specific on things, but have decided to branch out on rods possibly and can't decide between Dobyn's or ALX. Anyways ya I'm like that wife and trying to decide where to eat, what to eat, and by the time I do decide I am in the bathroom for 20 min and my food is cold. Wasted time.

I've decided the fish really aren't that smart, that they don't know or care which rod launched the lure or how much I paid for it, and that a reel is basically just a winch. My focus is mainly on two things, my hooks and my line. Those are the two components that typically cause catastrophic failure in the process.
That makes decisions easier and less stressful for me. Less expensive, too.

I have been buying stuff from The Tackle Trap in Alabama. Prices are good and the stuff arrives very fast. Highly recommended!!

That makes decisions easier and less stressful for me. Less expensive, too. Totally agree with this statement. I've never really spent tons on rods or reels, never will. But I do put more into my rods than reels; never had a rod break and don't want to...well I had an ugly stick break when I picked one up just for fun and it snapped at the reel seat on second cast lol. Anyways, ya the line and hooks are vitally important, and I'm assuming when you say line you are not just mentioning the line itself but the knot as well. For me the knot is maybe even more important than the line brand.
