My neighbor is a retired locomotive engineer. He tells me (with way too much excitement) it'll be in Denton the day before, then travel through Argyle and Roanoke on it's way to Ft Worth.

This thread reminds me of the Southern Pacific steam engine 982 that was in the Hermann Park Zoo in Houston. It was moved to downtown between Minute Made Park and the George R. Brown convention center in 2012 I think. A good memory!

Watch out for the train enthusiasts, they will be following it along the highway without much regard for other traffic.
Had an old fart yelling at me to get off the track or I'll call the train police as I looked for it coming, some idiot from out of state.
I got a pic right next to the locomotive while he was watching from beside the tracks.

Enjoy it really is pretty awesome to see.
