A year from now, they will still be talking about violence in Houston. You can throw a trillion dollars at it, it's not going to make a bit of difference.

I don’t know what the answer is, but an automatic death penalty if found guilty of murder would help sway it a bit. Make it swift too. Like the next day! Let the victims family flip the switch if they wanna. That’d be nice.

that fool stated all the facts except for the main crucial one. What race group is committing the majority of the violence against these POCs? We wont lock them up and make them accountable and the wheel goes round and round , give me more money. Thirteen percent , half of that for males only is around 6.5% , cut that in half to take out the babies and the elderly and about 4% of America is committing more than half the crime. Houston we have a problem but lets blame everyone else and we get mo money.

I'm all for capital punishment but there has to be a buffer period between conviction and the sentence being carried out. The appeal process is important to ensure the accuracy of convictions. There are still too many wrongful convictions of innocent people right now. Every couple months we hear about people being let out of prison after decades because they were proven to be innocent. But at the same time, that process shouldn't take 20 years. It's a slippery slope.

Throwing money at the problem has worked in Baltimore, Chicago, NY, Philly, LA, and many other places!
