Jesus fulfilled the law.

So that's old testament. Does the new testament nullify the old?

We are no longer bound by the law. It doesn't nullify it, it changes it.

The sabbath is really reserved for rest. Some people eest while working. Others have no choice. Some take a sabbath during the week. Others never observe it.

Genesis 15:6 Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.

So which came first? Salvation by faith or the law? I only share this because God does not change.

I think the thought of not working on Sunday was a leftover mindset from the Old Testament times. The 1st century church came together to worship on Sunday - essentially a new type of Sabbath - but the non-work on the Sabbath was replaced, as many have said above (as Christ fulfilled - think completed - it). After worship (or in-between worship as the case may be) on Sundays, work is done at/in my house.

Gourd (and anyone else for that fact) - always happy to visit with you and give you more details and answer questions. I don't have all the answers, but I can do the best I can. In short, the "law" was put there for a reason, but following Christ it came down to 2 principles - love God and love your fellow-man. That's what the law boiled down to anyway.

I am not aware of anywhere in the Bible where salvation comes through the law. So the answer to your question is by faith.
