What happened? Did they get COVID or something?
From MLF Executive:
We have had some unique circumstances this week for our Bass Pro Tour Toyota Stage Six event at Lake Champlain.
At this time, the following anglers will not be participating in competition on Lake Champlain this week:
Luke Clausen
Dustin Connell
Mark Daniels Jr.
Anthony Gagliardi
Randy Howell
Chris Lane
Fletcher Shryock

Well, the orange boat won’t be lining up to make a cast on Champlain this week for Stage #6. After Icast, I got COVID. I dealt with the typical annoying flu like symptoms that lasted for several days that most people go through. After thinking I was in the clear, my breathing/respiratory system took a gnarly downhill turn and I was forced to the ER where I have been getting treated since. I’m hoping I can leave this weekend. Things are getting better and I look forward to the adversity of recovering from all of this. I’ll be back stronger and better on the other side. Major League Fishing has decided that each angler this year may drop a points paying event of their choice this season. I’m thankful for MLF and the anglers that were willing to do this in this

Oof the 'ol covid drop, I think Fritts was the only one that missed an event for covid on the Elite series this year. I wonder if any of them were vaccinated?

Prayers for those to have a quick rebound from their ailment. I’m pretty sure it’s COVID and hopefully they will be back in their boats soon.

Oof the 'ol covid drop, I think Fritts was the only one that missed an event for covid on the Elite series this year. I wonder if any of them were vaccinated? Vaccinated or not you still will get it. Some worse then others. There’s no way not to get it period Yeah you still get it but you don’t get hospitalized like Shryock and Connell did, especially when young.

Yes you can still get it but it is a light case. I know several people who had the vaccination and got it. Every one of them had minor symptoms and were over it in two or three days. The vaccination works.

I have a friend whos husband had the vaccine and died from covid 2 days ago.

The stats say that getting your vaccine lowers the chance of being hospitalized because of covid by a large margin. Get your vaccine!

Billions and Billions of dollars spent on a virus with a well over a 99% survival rate (even using the massively inflated death toll) and a government that is pushing every American to be vaccinated immediately. I believe it is everyone's choice to do it or not but the math/numbers/massive pressure to do it doesn't add up. For those that have lost family or friends from it, my statements are NOT meant to say it isn't real or killing some....I know it is. Our response to the threat is disproportionate and I do NOT trust our government.
