I was just checking out how much lakes in west Texas have come up from the rain the last few days and saw AH is as of midnight up just over THREE FEET since the 24th and Lubbock has gotten just under an inch of rain since midnight !!! At one point a bit ago the rain was coming down there at a rate of 2.4 inches an hour !
Now if it will just keep heading towards Abilene that strong we might finally see a decent rise in lakes here too. I've had just under two inches of rain at my house in the last 36 hours but still not enough raise a few lakes nearby more than an inch. frown
I envy y'all close to AH, that will make it a "new" lake !

Ya.... with the canyon walls like that fishing the breaklines and stuff is probably going to be killer for a lil while. Hopefully its still up when I get back.

I was out there yesterday. The lady in the pay booth said they got 4 in yesterday and I know they got more last night. Its 2.5 ft from the spillway. Amazing! I fished yesterday from 4:30 pm till 7:30 pm. I started shallow thinking some fish might have moved up into the cooler water with no results. I did see a lot of fish shallow busting dragon flies. Finally wised up and fished deep and fooled 2 with a crankbait biggest was about 2 lbs. I should of fished deep to start with. Back in the creeks the water was about 2 degree cooler than on the main lake because of the "new" water. Give it a couple days to settle down and it should be good.
