The factory console mount for a 12" Humminbird is fairly flimsy when it comes to vibration. What solutions have folks come up with to lessen or stop this movement (other than a new mount)? I.e. tennis ball wedged behind graph and plate,, etc....

Sounds like something is loose. I have a Lowrance 16" Carbon on basically the same mount from Skeeter and its rock solid.

The vibration is fairly minor maybe a 1/4"-1/2" when running WOT, however want to see if there is an easy way to shore that up.

I had the same issue on my boat. I have stacked 12's up front on a BBT bracket. They vibrated when running. It wasn't the bracket, but the rigging. I added an extra bolt, washers and nut as far out on the gimble bracket (on either side) as possible, and it firmed it up completely. The gimble to brackets bolts we're too close to the center of the bracket, and the sides flexed. Having attachment out towards the end fixed it. May help - hope so.
