That would be weird. I would have a hard time pulling the trigger on a new vehicle without seeing it and sitting in it. I don't care how nice it looks, if my arse don't fit the seat right, I'm not buyin it! LOL
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading

I think we are having an overreaction. They will have inventory onsite which will probably be somewhere around 60 day supply for particular dealer history. This of course a big difference from some dealers having hundreds of trucks. If this model proves true it will eliminate car salesmen as you could buy a vehicle while chatting with Bob in Delhi.

Always been able to order what you wanted and then there was always the dealer trade situation that worked, inventory is limited everywhere so I’m not sure this will work as well as some think.

I think internet sales guys used to be one in 10 at dealerships now they have to be more than that. That or regular salesman have had to adapt to internet sales as well. Salesman nowadays just say, well just go online build one out and send the bill sheet to me. Pretty much the way real estate is going as well. You do all the research on line and it's an easy transaction for them. Of course salesman and Realtors will argue that their services are invaluable.

I've felt the whole car buying experience could use an entire remake. Crazy as a bat Elon tried to start something and got blocked by a lot of states for trying to sell his vehicles online and direct. But he is on to something. I'd be surprised if the traditional car dealership in 10 yrs is in the same modus operandi as we know today.

Go to Carvana and stick your coin in the slot and your car spits out the shute. Just like a gum ball machine. Stupidest thing I ever saw. Gimmick. Like something you would see in Tokyo.
I don’t mind ordering a car. I custom ordered a 2000 BMW 530i. Was great. But I prefer to drive it if I haven’t owned one before.
LET’S GO BRANDON!!!

That will stop the impulse buyers. So will, their price.

Ford seems impressed with the European sales model and I’ll tell you it is not that great. You wait and wait and then settle. Europeans are used to being told where to stand, how to do business, and what to do and they just accept it. Not sure if Americans will be so accepting.

I don’t mind ordering, I actually prefer it; but I’m not going to wait 4-6 months for the truck.
