A buddy of mine is wanting to book a helicopter pig hunt and maybe combine it with a night vision pig hunt as well. Does anyone have any good leads on an outfitter for this? I posted on the THF as well. Thank y’all for any help!

I got a brochure once at one of the hunting shows for a helicopter hog hunt. I never went. But, to me, this is just proof that we live in the greatest country in the world when you can pay someone to take you up in a helicopter to shoot pigs. It makes me a proud American.

I did it once on a friend’s ranch in Hondo. It was a good time and felt very patriotic.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Agreed. Although I was prouder when I saw a video of a guy who’d tacked a battery operated pencil sharpener on top of an old Cadillac..mounted a pencil on the end of a helicopter skid...then had the Caddy take off down the road and commenced to chasing it in the helicopter and sharpening the pencil.

Heli Hunter, Craig Meier in Ennis, TX

Then drive an hour south to

Hunt FE Hill Ranch, Fairfield, TX & hunt with Jason Jeter.

I haven't personally hunted with either of these outfits, but it's who I would go with it if I were going tomorrow.

Had a patient whose son owned a ranch between Houston and Beaumont with turrible pig problems in their pastures. Got a heli outfit in there. He went up the 1st afternoon and shot around 200. The heli service ended up shooting around 4,000 for the month.

That’s when you start complaining about the buzzards.

We went with Heli Hunter in the Ennis area back in 2016. Good time had by all and easy drive from DFW. I think we shot something like 32 pigs and 3 coyotes during a 2 hour hunt. Chopper pilot does some crazy maneuvers and the ride might be even more of a rush than the actual shooting. Dude gets you right on top of those pigs as you can see in the last 2 pics below. Definitely some pucker factor in play but man it was fun.
