Still learning the ropes on my unit…does anyone know if there is a setting to maybe a 50ft ring around a waypoint. Just don’t know how close I’m getting to the spot when I cast.

Go to settings and turn your range rings on.

You guys are absolutely right! I found it. I also did a little research and I turned on Distance to Destination as well. Between these two I figure I should be able to find my target within 2-3 casts.

I tell you what...learning to fish deeper and target structure/cover that can't be seen is a real challenge. I can already tell it takes a lot of time and persistence but I'm putting my best foot forward. Any hacks you guys can recommend to speed up the learning curve. I think my next plan is to hire a guide to just show me how they locate and target these spots...I just need to find someone running Lowrance. I'll take any recommendations on that as well.

Thanks again.

If you don’t have a point1, then get one.

Also, it’s quite a bit more, but if you plan on targeting brushpiles, forward facing sonar is the schnizzle.

Needed if you’re going to fish offshore. Not supposed to link other websites here, but it’s too much to type.
