Ike is in a good spot. Hope he qualifies for Elites. Seems some other notables are towards the top of the list too.

Can Ike not get in with his legend points? I think the fact that he did not fish any Opens in 2020 may hurt his chances of using the exemption. Both Swindle and Palaniuk were still fishing the Opens when theirs was granted.

To get the legend exemption they have to fish a full series of Opens.

Ike mentioned a while back he wasn't sure how it would work with him being an owner of MLF. He wasn't sure how he could get out of that and if it would keep him from going to BASS. Maybe there's a deal with the owners, I'm not sure. He does seem more interested in BASS than MLF at the moment and if history means anything, BASS gave Christie, Hackney, and those guys a lot of press at the opens when they knew they were coming back. They gave Ike more pics in his gallery than the leader and seem to be favoring his press a little. We are talking about Ike though, so he may just be using all his avenues for publicity. He is a pretty good business man

I thought he was kinda done with tournament fishing and said he was only going to fish opens. I know he has a huge social media presence that I'm sure makes him money. He also fishes kayak tournies a lot.

I think he gambled that his new TV show was going to be picked up and it wasn't. I thought his Nat Geo series was great but I guess they tv producers didn't agree, thats what he really wants to be doing Netflix or something that reaches a greater audience than the tiny audience that watches bass fishing tournaments.
