I just bought a new Old Country offset smoker and would like to get some good tuning plates. Any and all suggestions welcome on where on line or on the west side of Ft Worth (Azle) to buy some.

Years ago with my first offset, I bought quarter inch steel plate and cut to fit. Don’t know how long your cook chamber is but I did mine in three sections to make it easy to take them out and clean them. My chamber was 5 feet long then. Call a steelyard and get a price, Most will even cut it for you if you don’t have a torch.

Which model did you get? I have the Pecos & solved the even temp issue with this Horizon convection plate. It drops right in and can adjust it quickly to your liking without having to move several plates, my temps run identical to 2 degree difference pretty much the whole cook, I am very happy with it http://www.horizonbbqsmokers.com/accessories-1/16-convection-plate

I got the Brazos. I will have to measure the box to figure out what size I need.
