I got a delivery yesterday. Two hoses I need for a sink faucet connection that are short, not available at local orange or blue place. I see truck drive up, I get a photo of the package on my doorstep, I go retrieve envelope style package....... it’s open and empty, zilch. I track down driver up the street, he looks in truck and doesn’t find any loose hoses. Tells me to call 800 number, drives off.

I don’t really hold him accountable but why would you put an open and empty envelope on my doorstep and call it delivered?

Bout 15 minutes on the phone with Amazon lady Kari.......not from around here....got a credit and had to reorder. Should be here tomorrow, we will see

Same thing happened to me, but is was USPS that placed the open envelope in the mail box. Amazon sent out a replacement without skipping a beat.

I don’t see a reason to complain. The drivers do not have time or ability to make decisions, for all they know you ordered a membrane that weighed 0.000001 Oz.

Maybe Amazon man used hose to siphon his pee bucket out.

Yea, they make flex supply hoses can be twisted into a loop to make them shorter.

Drivers are paid to deliver packages. He did his job smile

Happened to me last week. I suppose the warehouse guys are under pressure to fill orders quickly. If they can't find the item, they ship it empty.

I know, but this is a pedestal sink and a real pain to get to. The looping of a supply lines makes it all the more difficult to work in an already tight space.

I’m not really whizzed about it, I just thought it was kind of humorous honestly. Replacement hoses will be here today and I hope to get this project done.

The most surprising aspect of this story for me is that you actually got a phone number to call amazon, and that an actual person answered.

Amazon is notorious for handling all customer service online with AI bots.

We've actually never had a problem with Amazon customer service.

It was a bit frustrating to actually get them, you have to select the option to have them call you back, and i got the call in less than a minute

Never had any issue with Amazon customer service. I would say they are the gold standard for online shopping customer service. Now Walmart online is a different story. Ordered a set of trailer tires two weeks ago. They showed in stock and free 2 day delivery. 3 days past delivery date I received an Email saying they were delayed, then this morning received another Email stating the order was canceled with no reason why. Checked their online site and the tires show to be in stock with 2 day delivery except are 12 dollars more per tire than original order. Just ordered a set from Amazon for a few dollars more than my original Walmart order but I'm confident that I'll get them when promised.
