Looking for an economical means to get the engine hours Off my F70LA Yamaha. No hour meter on dash. Local dealer wants $120.00 to hook up their Laptop, seems a little excessive.

Bought an aftermarket 12 V digital hour meter, going to hook up to catch up on hours.

Could try one of these hacked YDA ebay

I have one and wanted to know the hours and it but apparently my 2001 wouldn't let the software read it, and then read about some older models like mine that wouldn't read hours so no sure it was the software falt.

I'd check another dealer. He's trying to zing you with a 1 hour labor charge. Should only be 30 min. labor and will take Tech 15 tops.

Mine is connected to one of the spark plug wires.
