My Lowrance fish finder was working perfectly until today when I pushed the pages button to switch from the GPS map to the sonar and it wouldn't switch. Basically, I can only bring up the map on the depth finder, the sonar part will not come up. Also, when I hit menu, I will get the first menu, when I hit it again, I am supposed to get the second menu. Well I don't. I have been messing with it and just wondering if any of you guys have experienced this problem before.

for some reason, after SkeeterRonnie got mad at Lowrance, they seem to be having lots of problems..My Eagle is doing that, and more weird stuff. Wish I knew how to help you, other than calling Lowrance.

I had the same thing happen yesterday morning to my 334. Went online and found the instructions for a soft boot and it powered back up just fine and was able to navigate to the sonar and other menu options.

Soft boot: Turn the unit off, hold down the pages key, then hold down the power key. Keep holding both down until the USA map appears.

I went ahead and saved all of my waypoints after this just in case I ever have to do a hard reset.

This is what I had to do with mine as well... seems to be a pattern here....

I tried the soft reboot and it works good now. I really appreciate the help RD. Just so I know, how do you do a hard reset?

Thanks

I will post those instructions when I get home from work. Just remember though that a hard reset will clear all of your saved data.

OK- Here is how to do a hard reset:

Turn the unit off, press and hold both the zoom in and out buttons at the same time, while still pressing them press and hold the power button. Release all three when the map appears.

Hi texas21j -

You said the soft reboot cured your problem, so my suggestion does not apply, and is just an FYI. Some readers may recognize this condition if they've pulled their unit out to use as a gps in a vehicle.

When the transducer cable connection (connector on left looking at 334c from the back) is loose or not making good contact, the unit will behave the same way... all you get is gps and sonar page will suddenly not be an option.

Properly seating that connector may return sonar page function.

While I'm not using the "latest" 334c software, I presume this is still the page behavior. -ray

Thank God for Texas and the USA!!! - Ray

MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP YOUR WAYPOINTS ON YOUR COMPUTER BEFORE YOU DO A HARD REBOOT! You will loose your waypoints if you don't!
