I’m looking for a 2 valve 5.4 Triton. Are there any reputable places in the metroplex that might have any or is it best to order from someone like LKQ?

Why would you go with the 2 valve? Doesn't the 3v fit? Its a MUCH better engine.

The 3v is a solid motor with better economy and torque.

I think it will but I'd talk to a Ford tech.

It might bolt up....but the ECU may not be able to manage it. I think the 3V has more sensors, COPs / plugs, etc.

Requires a 3v pcm AND a different transmission ...a 4.6 2v should bolt right up

Look into Powertrain , they are great , I have one in a company truck we put in almost 3 years ago and it runs great . I just got another one for my 2003 F150 I retired when I did . They have a 5 year unlimited warranty and free shipping to a commercial business .https://www.powertrainproducts.net/ The one I got was right at $3200 and I also bought the kit for another $300 . My mechanic has been using them for years and never had a problem .

This is so true.
I have a 99 5.4 that just bit the dust 321,000 on it no issues other than a couple of coil packs. I’ve heard good things about LKQ and powertrain. Gonna wait till it cools off the replace it.

If you go with Powertrain do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on the installation kit , well worth the money . and like my mechanic said he can not buy the parts that cheap . That way all you have to buy is oil and coolant .

I looked into trading mine off with 306 K on it and the price of used trucks was insane . After spending 4 k for the motor and installation [Linked Image]
I got a nice truck and I even got new seat covers custom made for my truck . Plus try and find a 2003 F150 7700 model .
