Headed to Monti... I’m pizzed ..just realized I didn’t bring my fish finder battery. Doesn’t matter as I’m on a mission and those fish don’t have a chance. Anyone else going today?

Every Saturday I go visit my parents, bring them food and do odd jobs around the house that needs done. Maybe I can fish tomorrow.

I opted to mow this morning, fishing has been poor at the ponds for the past month. Most of June and all of July august are not good usually

I fished Monti last Saturday with my nephew, we caught em but nothing to write home about. Spoke to my buds (father and young son) I’d met there last thanksgiving. They fish it regularly. The fish stories they told me from the last few months were unreal. Like the son caught and landed 3 blues for 125 lbs from his kayak one day. The kid is a fisherman and only has had his own kayak for 6 months. I’ll try to find pics they sent me.

I will forever kick myself in the azz for thinking it was a good idea to buy a house with my parents in the country so I could take care of them until they pass. Stupid Stupid Stupid.

Being retired, I fish on Monday, Wednesday & Friday.

Can you imagine being a young kid catching 3 like that in one day? This kid will be salt water fishing for monsters some day!

I usually avoid the weekends. Love fishing those week days.
