What would you name yourself if you got to do a re-do at 18? I was given the name Daniel, I go by Danny. Pretty boring. Thanks Mom.
If I had a re-do, I’d go with one of the following:
Stone
Sheamus
Wolfgang
Knox
Gus

First name is Michael. Mom didn’t want the jr. thing since dad is Michael. So Brandon it is. Family calls me bub/bubba.

Heck, I’m called a lot of different names, some good but mostly bad ones.
But really, I can be called, Rick, Richard, dad, son, brother, husband, friend, enemy, co-worker, boss, and all of them would be correct.

My given name is Richard. My Sisters call me Bud.
When I was working in the O&G game, they called me Cuz.
Grands call me PopPop. It's all good.

Was given the name William at birth and that's great because it was my dad's name so I'm a junior. But I was never called junior by anybody. My mom did not want me to use the nickname "Bill" but when I got to college in1963 that's what everybody tried to call me so I gave up and have gone by that name for 58 years.
Back to the question. I saw a name in a book I was reading as a teenager and thought it was unique. Montag. That's what I would pick.
