Which do you like and why? Getting ready to put new braid on and trying to decide which one to get.

Ford vs. Chevy but I use 832 because that's what was on the shelf last time I needed some.

Agree Ford vs Chevy,
I'm a Power Pro person, have for over 20 years. on occasions it digs into its self resulting in cast being aborted. It's a tad noisy going through certain guides.
Very abrasion resistant, sensitive and no memory like most braids.

Power Pro

832 feels more wiry and tends to foul in the spool more often.

What are you using it for? If heavy cover flipping or frogging it's hard to beat 832. It's tough as heck. I like the original suffix if I'm skipping frogs under docks, etc. Tends to be softer and gets very soft after repeated use. For lighter line topwater, chatterbait, traps I like daiwa samurai braid. It's super thin. I think the 55lb is same as 10lb test

I like both but Sufix 832 is a little smoother & quieter thru the rod guides. Sufix is 8 strand vs PP's 4 strand and same cost.

This is my experience as well. I also got a lot of wind knots with 832. I have never used power pro but I would toss another one to try. Based on what Justin Lucas said, I tried Berkley XPS 5 and really like it a lot. I have had no issues with it all.

I do feel that 832 is quieter, but overall I like the feel of the power pro.

I stick with traditional PowerPro on my baitcasters and superslick to a fluoro leader on my spinning gear.
