rebuilding my dock from the tornado damage on Murvaul...suggestions for bumper pads n case yawl come visitin'...

We've got 2 docks with 2 very different setups. One has that long strip that attaches to the top edge and hangs down 5 or so inches and screws into the side. The other has the big pads that attach only to the side. I think alot depends on how high your dock/boat sits above the water. Personally I'd just prefer to use bumpers tied to the boat and keep it on the downwind side of the dock, instead of drilling a bunch of holes in the metal, or attaching wood to it.
One of my buddies used those big corner bumpers like shown above all around his, like laid them sideways over the top edge, and it works well, he comes in hot, and now doesn't have to worry about trashing his boat. His boat sits quite a bit higher than the dock so they hit it just right. The deck of a pontoon or bass boat would probably be under them.

got me 3 of the 6.5 x 23...dang they're BIG...what is the best way to attach them to the dock btw CCTX...ur PM box is full
