Houston Raceway (Baytown) is shutting the doors. The last two top fuelers will run April 24, 2022. Property was sold and will be turned into an industrial park. I met a lot of drivers and I got to party with their crews. Sad to see it go!!

I've never been there but the boss wants to go before it shuts down. I was about 16 when I attended my last in person drag race. That was at the track in Dickinson when Don Gay, the Green Monster, and Mickey Gilley's band member racing his Vet.

That's too bad. There are very few race tracks basically at sea level which make optimum horse power.

Because Baytown needs more industrial parks. While Houston needs to sell existing industrial parks. This has always amazed me. Houston HAS GOT to be the concrete tilt-wall capital of the USA.
