Lighting Strike on CSST gas line in the attic is probably the issue.
May of had a nail strike from roofing company who installed the roof recently and that could of been why it exploded like that. Just depends on which side of the regulator in the attic the nail strike occured. If it was before the regulator then looking at 2psi gas leak, if after regulator then looking at .04 psi gas leak.

I heard this thing blow up. I thought my giant tree in the front of my house had come down through the roof. I walked outside expecting to see total carnage but was a bit confused when I saw the tree still standing.
Walked over and checked it out this morning. I've never seen anything like it - the house is obliterated. How anybody survived inside that house is beyond my comprehension.
