Good afternoon TFF'ers,
My wife and I are new to striper fishing and to Lake Whitney. We have had some success on topwater baits at first light. We are interested in trying live bait in deeper water. Can any of you clue us in to any general areas to begin our sonar searches? I am not asking for your secret spots, just general areas of the lake. We are open to searching any part of the lake . Please PM me if you don't want to post openly.

try drifting live shad or bream on 7' leader 14 to 21 feet deep in Towash area, across the old railroad at McCown Valley, search along the bluffs at Harbor Master along and toward Loafers Bend west. if you find them stacked up, try jigging big siver spoons and slabs through them. also the flats south of the state park. try setting out extra lines away from boat under balloons while drifting.
