For 25 years I've had the worst next door neighbors you could have. They finally sold to a flipper and the people who bought it are great! What a difference it makes. We get along great and are working to make both our places look better.

Our neighbor across the street used to own the house next to ours as well and rented it out. It was always well maintained, BUT some of the tenants were nightmares... had to call the cops more than once on one... the screaming matches could be heard up and down the street. She retired a few years ago and sold the house. The new neighbors at great. Still not a fan of the lady across the street. She's a busy body and arrogant for no reason...but she keeps her yard and house up.

So, they had a broken lawnmower and vehicle collection?

Back when I was living in Tacoma, Washington there was a clan of meth heads who lived a few doors down from me. They were always out working on a car in the front yard. It didn’t matter if it was 5 PM or 3 AM. They were always out there all day and all night long. They were actually pretty nice, but their yard sure was messy.
