My wife and I get one date night a month with us having two small kids. I think we have eaten at every high priced reasturant in dfw. We eat and drink and our bill is outrageous. Its well worth it though. My favorite by far, is having Maryland blue crab, lobster, mussels, and clam chowder flown in. Will beat any place around if you can cook them as thryre still alive. Were over steaks ( live on a beef ranch ).sushi or pho would be our pick for going out food
.

It will make you broke. $24.00 a lb and that is mostly shell, but dang it is some good eating.

I have a condo on the Isle of Roatan in the Caribbean. Every trip down I take a frozen Tri tip. I go to the locals
and get lobster for $10.00 a lb. ( 8 oz tails for 5 bucks) Invite about 7 people over and BBQ the Tri tip, lobster, bakers and a giant salad.
Some local beers and or Rum punches....heaven.

I'm a poor man with poor man ways, a good drunk night at joe ts is about all I need. High end steak houses are fine and over the years I have been to a bunch but I have gotten pretty simple in my pleasures. I like flip flops and baseball caps, if I cant wear one I dont feel a real desire to go to that kinda place anymore. That's where I land on things.

I hate flip flops. The only reason I own a pair is to go out and get the paper on a rainy day or to get to the pool. When I was a kid I went barefoot even on 100 degree days but feet have gotten tender with old age.

Momma and I don’t go out to splurge. I gotta tell you, when we work together in the kitchen….O my! Steaks, seafood, pork, chicken, whatever. My adult kids and grands would rather come to our place and eat than spend the splurge $$$$ out.

Keep looking forward. That’s why windshields are larger than rear view mirrors.

Waw i own two pair of " going out jeans" that are at least 10 years old. I'm no pleasure to look at. If t have to really dress up I'm not going. I drive piece of [censored] cars and spend money on nothing . Just good food , we don't travel except tp our cabin in Red River. So its my one vice
