Last I checked averaging 3 years Crochet, Grigsby, Hawk, Mcclelland, Lambert and Elias were out but that was a few tournies ago. Duckett, Biffle, Jordon and Myers were on the bubble. I imagine Duckett is out right now and Biffle is safer he's had a better year.

It looks like Paul Elias is near the bottom or at the bottom.
Shaw Grigsby on it three times.
Jason Lambert is on it three times..
Roy Hawk on it three times.
Looks like good old Boyd Duckett is fast becoming more terrible......the co-founder

They should keep the rolling 3 year average for BPT going, anyone can have one bad year look at Amart. A top 10 AOY in the Pro Circuit still moves you up to the Tour but one bad year on Tour doesn't immediately bump you back down. I believe the Elite series has a 2 year grace period for rookies now but used to not.

I don't think they have said officially. I do know they said there will be less anglers next year.

If they cut more than less that is going to suck for anyone but especially Justin Atkins, he leaves MLF only to get cut in his first year with Elite series. He doesn't qualify as a rookie so no two year grace period, too much money made at FLW and MLF.

I cannot imagine Atkins being cut after only 1 year.

This is Atkins first year with the Elites. He was FLW when he won the FWC then he went to BPT then qualified for Elites through opens. He is an Elite rookie he isn't in the ROY standings because he has made over 500k professionally.

So he's not a rookie https://www.bassmaster.com/slideshow/2021-elite-series-rookies-newcomers#slide14, I would be curious to know if they give first year guys 2 years or if its just Rookies, not sure where that rule is written.

BASS is doing their best to convince us that Zaldain is their new KVD….whatever

I don’t think half the mlf field could make it through the opens to qualify for the elites again.

1/2 is generous.

I’d take Patrick Walter’s and Brock Mosley over 90% of the MLF field. Besides a couple awesome young guns it’s mostly the senior tour at MLF. There’s a reason why they have 15 minute breaks and every other day fishing.

Walters, Mosely, Livesay, Welcher, New, Benton, Queen, and Logan are some of the rising stars for sure. Those guys could hold their own against anyone.
