Any of you just suddenly get a really sharp pain in a part of your body that was never previously an issue for you, I mean a whoa wth is that type pain? I’ve noticed this in the past few years. Last week, the outside of my right knee all of a sudden felt like someone stuck a hot ice pick in it. It lasted about a minute, then it was gone. Never had any issues with that part of my knee.
I am posting this because my right foot just gave out with a stabbing pain, then it was fine. I did break this foot 45 years ago but I’ve never had an issue with it.
I have a lot of chronic, repeating issues with several areas of the old system but these pains are weird. I know, getting old is hell.

I have had those types of pain since my back surgery (and that's been 27 years ago)...Are you diabetic? If so, it may be in part related to that....and you're probably just getting old. Or Hop has broken out the voodoo doll he has of you, so he can finally over take your post count.

But that’s typically tingling in the extremities.

Yep. Sciatica. I had surgery for this in 2018 L5-S1 fusion. They thought the crack in the S1 was causing a pinch on the spinal cord or nerves. It fixed it for a half year, but now it is back. It mimics a hip joint pain but I will get those sharp knee pains occasionally and like an electric shock in the lower leg. I had a quackopractor do some adjustments in May and it made things worse. Eventually, I;ll have to go back to the spine surgeon. If you see 7 old men walking down the street, 5 of them will be limping. So I'm in the majority.

I have had a hip literally cave in on me but that’s somewhat frequent. But it also feels fine most of the time

Spine problems are a beeyotch, the worst.

Just part of the aging process I guess. On the back of my drivers license instead of donor it's a list of organs I need!

But that’s typically tingling in the extremities. Yeah, but not always. The knee pain is probably not, the foot pain could be, which is why I asked...but diabetes attacks everyone differently. Have you tried a strength training regiment? Get your muscles sore enough, these other pains won't bother you anymore. Or you could just start hitting yourself with a hammer. Personally, however, after you caught a catfish today and now this, I'm going with Hop having a voodoo doll. Okay, I've had some fun, but your footwear could be contributing to all this. Were the two pain incidents on the same leg? How old are your shoes (as in have you walked around 300 miles in them)? Since my back surgery, my shoes wear out faster than they did prior, because of the way my left hip now works, changing my gait. I do notice more knee/ankle pain and then I know it's time to replace my insoles at the bare minimum and then the entire shoe.

It’s the fact that these pains just come out of nowhere, then completely disappear that’s strange
