Whatever happened to Taco Cabana? Was great for its first twenty or so years (as good or better than what Rosas is today) then started a rapid decline in the late 90s.
Or was it never good and Iām just remembering it fondly? No it was good back in the day..

Or was it never good and Iām just remembering it fondly? As I recall Cabana got into a battle with another chain that had better food but after an expensive legal battle Cabana won. Typical lawyers. The other chain was Two Pesos I think. That place was good.

In the 90s Taco Cabana was our 2 a.m. stop after a night at Sneakers in San Antonio. Definitely has gone down hill over the years.

Yup, early 90s it was good. They got bought, lost their arse with the Caribbean concept, hasnt been good in long long time. We go to Rosa's when wanting that kind of mexican food.

They were better than Rosa's at first, drove two pesos out then just gave up. Their newer units got real fast foodie. I liked 2 pesos. The taco cabana in Weatherford was possibly the worst place I ever went. They could not get an order right to save their arse. When it went under we all were better off. Now On the Border in Weatherford holds that title
