I try to like them, but I have to lie to myself to believe it.

Whatever happened to Taco Cabana?
Was great for its first twenty or so years (as good or better than what Rosas is today) then started a rapid decline in the late 90s.

Or was it never good and I’m just remembering it fondly?

Their breakfast tacos are good. The rest isn’t good anymore.

Used to always get their enchilada plate, and then out of the blue they changed it....I wouldn't feed it to my dog if I had one!

Eat the meat cold the next day(left over) and you won’t go back

With a legit Mexican food place on every corner, why would anyone ever eat there? It uses to be cheap, tasted good enough and was open 24/7 back in the day. Then we moved on.

As I recall Cabana got into a battle with another chain that had better food but after an expensive legal battle Cabana won. Typical lawyers.

I don't remember it being particularly good or bad. It's probably been close to 20 years since I've been to Taco Cabana. I am not interested in eating their hotdogs.

Been 5 years or more since I have eaten there, I remember it being ok for a quick lunch, but never great

They used to have a rotiesie chicken meal that was really good. Of course got rid of it about 10 years ago.

The family fajitas was good for take home dinner.

The closed all the Taco Cabanas in Frisco a couple of years ago

Years ago they used to offer $1 margaritas which were good.

Good riddance to them

The other chain was Two Pesos I think. That place was good.

In the 90s Taco Cabana was our 2 a.m. stop after a night at Sneakers in San Antonio. Definitely has gone down hill over the years.

Yup, early 90s it was good. They got bought, lost their arse with the Caribbean concept, hasnt been good in long long time. We go to Rosa's when wanting that kind of mexican food.

They just gave up. They were better than Rosa's at first, drove two pesos out then just gave up.

Their newer units got real fast foodie. I liked 2 pesos. The taco cabana in Weatherford was possibly the worst place I ever went. They could not get an order right to save their arse. When it went under we all were better off. Now On the Border in Weatherford holds that title
