Todd was kind enough to host Cliff and me. We hit the water about 10:15 AM and went straight to Cloud Point to fish the less choppy water on the east side of the lake. Etu and Lenahorse and guests were already there catching fish. We looked around, found fish, and started catching them. We went on to catch fish at Sun Point, Wolf Humps, Finger Point, and Anchor Point - ending up with 246 for the day: 222 white bass, a 23-inch hybrid, 7 cats, 15 keeper yellow bass, and a drum. We caught some in 20 to 23 fow and others in 12 to 17 fow. Most of the whites were typical magnum Tawakoni white bass (15 to 16.5 inches). At one point we were catching triples, and catching got so easy with Mepps #4 that we tried other baits to see if they would catch them - 2/5 ox Little Cleo, #2 Mepps, Mr Champ style spoon, and Mepps clone that Cliff had made. All these caught fish. The weather was perfect - temp in the 80's with a light breeze. It was a wonderful fishing day with good friends - Thank You, Lord! Here are some pics Todd took and more to come:

It was a make up trip due to situations and it rurned out to be a perfect day. Thanks for coming over to play with me at my awesome new home lake, DC and Cliffshot. My first time fishing with Cliffshot, and yep another good angler and great guy like DC advertised, and we even shared some clone notes. Even though we were out-catch 3 to 1 (aka got schooled) by the Mepp Master, us two Jr Meppskateers still had a blast. grin

Some pics for show and tell...
