Lake is falling, there could be lots of rail rubbing all over and those big pecan tree could come into play along the river channel. Lake is going to fish small, it’s probably around 12k acres now, 60% full.

You and the other 14 people that live in southern Coleman county should address that with your county commissioner

Unfortunately I live in Concho county.

Great idea. Let's pull 150 - 200 fired up competitors, in high speed boats, on a lake that could be around 10,000 acres come Oct. Cluster F... forecasted for OCT.

Ivie has considerably more water in it than the last time Champs had a championship there. It will fish fine as there is a ton of cover everywhere and still will be come October.

It’s not far from where it was in 2011 but could be close by October comes around, it may be 12k acres now and only 19k at full pool. This pump is running nonstop here by the house..

Lol… being from broken bow Oklahoma. I understand the frustrating part of a lake being popular. At least it’s bass fisherman and not wake boarding boats. The Texans have taken over the county.

Could be several lower units claimed that weekend. Been watching people run some places that make me cringe. If only they knew what was under the water.

Any thoughts on what they will do with the bag limits? From what I understand, Ivie has no size limit but only 2 can be less than 18". Just hoping they don't make a fish 14" or less legal to weigh even though that is appropriate per state law.

Per TPWD:
Black bass
For largemouth bass there is no minimum length limit; however, only two largemouth bass less than 18 inches may be retained each day. For smallmouth bass (if present), minimum length = 14 inches. There is no length limit on Alabama, Guadalupe or spotted bass. Combined daily bag limit for all species of black bass = 5 fish."

Got a feeling if you have to use two under 18" in October your not going to do very well.

Hmmm...Let's see. 200+ boats on a lake of this size for 5 days. Combined with the fact that NOBODY will shake a fish off in practice because it might be a 13lber or Personal Best. Those combined will create a ton of pressure on the fish.

Good luck.

Champs goes to Lbj routinely and it's a constant 6.5k acres and hardly any large creeks. It fishes just fine and is full of recreational boats. Ivie is twice as big, many creeks, and tons of offshore structure.
