I’m heading to the lake for the fourth and I was gonna get there a few days early and try for some crappie. I’m not looking for your spots or specific BPs, but I am looking for the boat ramp that will get me close to the action and maybe a depth. I’ll be close to Summerwood and would like to try to use the ramp at the lake house if possible. I have a kayak with TM so I can travel 3-4 miles in a day. Thanks!

It's gonna be busy but a early early start should yield a good box of fish..... Being you're fishn in a yak I'd advise you either launch at BJ's or Ponderosa, they'll give you access to the East Fork and Lucie's both of which hold good crappie..... The depth I've been fishing is 10 to 25fow..... Good Luck.....

Thank you SK. I’m glad I reached out. I was gonna try the main lake and it looks like I would have been a long way from the fish. Fishing the river will be new for me, but I like a challenge. Tight lines!

Be careful out there..... Lots of boaters have no clue of what their wake does to nearby boaters.... Or just don't care....
