What lakes do you rent boats?

I wish BBR the best of luck on this endeavor. I work for a company that rhymes with yall and work with rental vehicles and trailers daily. I looked over the site and your waiver and it asked if the renter currently has insurance on their boat now. Assuming you have found someone to insure you ( commercially) I would not under any circumstance allow rental without taking out said insurance. NO exceptions. I see what happens to damages and how folks mistreat stuff now, that boat will depreciate siginificantly and the resale value be slaughtered if it was disclosed what this boat was in its previous life. And for what its worth ,I think you are not charging enough but sure you did your market research. And I also did not see where to add a second driver, and how can you prove your renter was behind the wheel in a serious accident?

Yep. Your grandmother does donuts in the parking lot when she is in a rental car. Just sayn.

It took about 6 months of calls and emails to get an insurance company to listen, eventually one of the biggest marine insurance providers globally, called back and informed us they decided to create a new business line for us on the commercial side. Safe to say there is no other boat rental company with insurance like ours.
To your point, once someone rents a boat they sign a digital waiver, making them responsible. If they let someone else drive it, they are still responsible. That’s spelled out to the renter in the digital waiver system.
If 2 drivers are required for a team tournament they both need to complete a waiver.
We also don’t rent to anyone without first approving a digital renter verification.
This is a new market with lots of potential. We believe that tournament fishermen will realize the need and appreciate they have a backup plan for a tournament ready bass boat, that’s the vision.

I saw your opening day ad later in this thread. Will you deliver to the ramp at Falcon for $600 three day rental 😎 or is this a Conroe thing? If so I may take you up on that deal. That would save me from having to trailer my boat from Dallas and save on fuel costs and wear and tear trailering. I see this being viable but boats will take a pounding just like rental cars do.
