I was a helicopter pilot, serving two tours in VN and retiring from the Army in 86. I haven't been in a helicopter since then. My Lady friend took me on a paid helicopter flight and I was able to take the controls. Just like riding a bike, you don't forget how to do it. It was a very enjoyable FD present. That sir it a really cool present... never been in one but jump at the chance to go... Really cool that you got to take the stick...

I was able to fly some kites with the kids.
They have been trying to fly them with no wind for a few days so Sunday was great.

I got a visit from daughter and SIL and a Chicken Express lunch. Then I got to change the oil and spark plugs on her Rav4. She did one oil change and after I critiqued her work I have been doing them ever since. I told my SIL to change plugs last year. Never happened.

got to see 3 out of 8 of my grandkids, 0 out of 2 of my kids, and 1 out of 1 of my dad.
BUT, both boys contacted me. One lives in Washington, the other is in the oilfield.
Just want to make folks smile, and spit coffee on their keyboard.
If you put beans in your chili, you don't know beans about chili.

I did...they usually have a hard time buying for me as I really don't need or ask for much. So this year, I was asked what I would like. So I thought about it and gave them some ideas...these all included things that would help others and not just me. Replacement grill grates Pool lounger Everyone wins and I get some cool new gadgets

My parents, my wifeโs parents, us, our 3 kids, and the 3 grandkids all over for BBQ and swimming.
4 generations all together. It was nice.
