Years ago my friend and his daughter and I where fishing some humps out on EML without much luck on our lures. Johnny told use to move in a little closer and threw us a small box of slabs and wouldn't take any money for them. We wore them out ! Super nice guy the world needs more Sandbass Johnny's in it. R.I.P.

Sorry to hear this. I miss his stories. He was a generous man. I do remember the fun we had fishing our little sandbass tournaments around the area lakes. God rest his soul.

We got to fish with Sandy Johnny and had such a good time. I feel lucky that I got that experience! We still talk about him tapping on the side of his boat!!!

I was just thinking it was time for him to go up in the mountains for the hot weather. So sorry to hear this. Praying for his family.

Only met Johnny once. Pulled up beside me at Pk on the lake an introduced himself. Seemed to be a great person. First impressions tell you a lot! Rest in peace with the lord Johnny.
