I'm glad to just be alive.

The wife insisted we have a big supper at 6:30. That forced me into playing golf during the heat of the day and it sucked.

I'd say it's a pretty good day to have both my parents, both my kids and my granddaughter all in the same room. Not sure how many more times I'll get the opportunity.

It's great to have those moment to make memories.

You betcha!! Got a new pellet grill.

I know it’s kind of a downer but it is what it is.
Had a great morning yesterday, went fishing in the new pond with a couple of the grandkids, was able to watch a few of them riding their horses, then got a call my mom was found in her bed passed away.
It was unexpected, so although the rest of the day was surrounded by family, it wasn’t the reason I wanted.
Today is arrangements day.

Thanks my friend, I debated posting this but I did, things happen, of course not always the way we expect them to.

I got to have both my kids come over with their family and spend the day with the wife and myself. We cooked out and had a great time. I got to play grandpa with my two grand-kids too. A perfect day!!!

I was a helicopter pilot, serving two tours in VN and retiring from the Army in 86. I haven't been in a helicopter since then. My Lady friend took me on a paid helicopter flight and I was able to take the controls. Just like riding a bike, you don't forget how to do it. It was a very enjoyable FD present.

Yes it was a great day. I took the FLSTC out for a morning ride. Had an outstanding BBQ lunch from Hurtado's and also got some spice/rubs and a Flintstone sized tomahawk ribeye to cook at a later date from the Meat Board butcher in Ft Worth...was a good day with daughter and son in law.
