Wanted to share a bass lure selection chart we put together for a new bass fishing resource website that gives new fisherman a quick visual guide to the different types of bass lures and the recommended setups for each to help make their lives easier. Next goal is to create an interactive lure chart where people can input their rod/reel/line setups to match up with the recommended lures for each and vice versa as a fun way to help plan for their next fishing trip! Would love your feedback and thoughts on what you might recommend to add or change or other fun ways we could provide tools to help guide newer fishermen!

Maybe an * on some of the hard swimbaits/glides. Rod and line can vary depending on weight of the swimbait/glide (2oz bait vs 10oz bait, etc)

I'm not throwing 6-10 lb test on my carolina rigs.

I might use a 15 lb leader if I'm getting snagged a lot in an effort to salvage my weight and swivel, or if I'm dragging a very light C-Rig across the tops of deep grass.

Other than that its braid to 20 lb, or 20lb all the way for me.

Main line 40lb braid or 20-25lb Fluoro with 12-15lb mono or copoly leader.

Nice work! Do you think it would be helpful to delineate if this is for baitcaster, zebco's or spinning reels? I propose which test line is dependent on where you're fishing and what you expect to catch. 1 pound spots are great on 10# line. A 5# largemouth will wreck it. I would never use 6-10# line anywhere I have fished in Texas. I want the fish in the boat, not swimming away trailing my 6# line with a hook in his mouth. 12# for super clear water with no cover is as light a line as I'll ever put in the water. - then only on a spinning reel. With flouro in TX I believe it's as light as you ever need to go. 14# XPS flouro is plenty invisible and throws great.

Looks good. As already noted the C-rig needs to be in the 10-20 lb range.
The other thing I see that I would change is the Shakey Head it needs to be in the 10 to 20 lb range. 15-25 is a little stout for my liking.

Thanks guys I think I'll make that change on the C Rig, I was on the fence as was!

Some of those 6-10lb on Floro are definitely lighter than what I would do, say on a weightless T-Rigged Senko, 12 to 14 to be able to drive the hook through a bigguns lip. Shakey head is probably a little heavy relative to what most guys use since its mostly a finesse tactic (except big shakeys in the summer)
