Why do people likke hollow braid?

offshore guys use it a lot because you can insert the fluoro leader into it and it's a knotless connection. similar to the chinese finger cuff. It might be similar with freshwater guys. too much hassle for me to do it with freshwater as much as I break off.

for freshwater: I like small braid (20 and 30#) and use the crazy alberto knot to connect the fluoro leader to braid.
