It seems there is a ruckus in the city about having declared June "pride month" and lighting their water tower in a rainbow of colors.

They are gambling the city's financial future on the development at 30 and Dalrock and you would think they would try and keep their drama off the radar.

I will defer any further judgement until I hear from Bob Davis on the matter.

There is little to no intelligent life forms occupying the city of Rowlett government chambers. Mutants have spoken. Out of 40 speakers at the meeting to discuss flying the LBGBTQP1A++TLSGJILM colors on the Water tower, 2/3 were mutants or mutant empowerment agents. Of the Religious leaders that opposed it, 7 were men, 7 women clergy were for it.

I agree with Douglas J, you would think this would not be an issue. Most of Rowlett aka "Liquor City", is in Dallas County and we all know the voting block of liberals there.

From what I understand it was the Mayor that made the decision on her own to fly the colors. This is the same person that started the process of having the original developer of the 30 project removed and have the land given back to the city. Maybe the citizens will vote someone else in.

Actually the city bought 119 out of 240 acres back from the original developer for $35 million. The best part is the original developer paid Dallas $31 million for the entire 240 acres. So, they made $5 million on half the land and have already made millions off their 121 acres. Sold the unimproved left overs back to the city. LOL

And this was declared a "win" by their genius of a mayor. roflmao
