Been struggling on Lew of late. Just thinking about changing it up on Friday and heading to Texoma. Never been. Is it worth my time? Mainly hunting largies but wouldn't mind the occasional smallie. Any fishing reports? Thanks!

We usually have the best luck fishing Texoma in the Fall and Winter.

I'm headed there on Saturday for my first time on that lake as well. Would love to hook a few smallies. Any info would be appreciated.

Texoma is great to fish any time of the year. Start out wind blown points till the sun is up then find some shade to flip, boatdocks are good in summer heat. I have a uncle that says, "boy, them fish don't have eyelids, they are in the shade when the sun is up"

Don't be afraid to throw topwater in the middle of the day when it's hot like this. I've caught some nice smallmouth doing it. You may even get your arm broke from a few stripers.

I made my first trip there 2 weekends ago, hit main lake points and had fun, my son caught 7 smallmouths, I caught 3 smallmouth, one spotted bass, one largemouth, going again this weekend!
FYI, if you did not already know, you have to have a Texoma fishing lic.

Don't forget to give the dam 30 minutes, try throwing a drop shot.

I haven’t caught a smallmouth there yet, but I’ve caught some nice stripers. A lot of fun to catch those.

Going tomorrow too, trying for a 4:00am takeoff, trying to see what early bites we can get before it get too hot....BTW no dock at that ramp, watch for big rocks near bank, there are a couple open spots.
